Responsibilities

• Creates solutions addressing high impact technology and business priorities.
• Competent in multiple contexts, including programming languages, security, automation, testing, and business domains.
• Participates in strategic technology decisions and proactively identifies and mitigates issues based on intuition and experience.
• Coaches technology communities at Discover.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Technical proficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus engineering scale for internal applicants.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in front-end web development with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and OpenShift.
• Expertise in API service architecture, automation mindset, CI/CD pipelines, and relevant tech stacks.
• Strong background in Java, Spring, Kafka, Openshift, and Jenkins.
