Job Description
Discover is seeking an Application Engineer (Full-Stack) to join the Collections Value Stream team. As an integral part of our agile team, you will be responsible for building and modernizing consumer-focused systems within our Company, focusing on the Probate and Bankruptcy platform. If you are passionate about technology, innovation, and collaboration, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to reliable software systems at scale.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to product team deliverables using Java programming technology.
- Diagnose opportunities for automation and efficiency in the product delivery cycle.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and design elegant solutions.
- Program, test, and deploy new user stories and features to production with high quality.
- Guide the team on implementing solutions and contribute to technology communities at Discover.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale for internal applicants.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, React, Angular, and cloud technologies (AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift).
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation mindset, and tech stack including Java, Spring, Kafka, Openshift, Jenkins.

Compensation
Base pay ranges between $86,500.00 to $146,100.00, with additional incentives based on eligibility, experience, and skill level.
