Job Description
We are hiring a Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a full-time Radiology Technologist, you will have the opportunity to improve health, instill humanity, and inspire hope through accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in general radiology. You will play a vital role in our patient and family-centered care philosophy by providing the best possible images for interpretation and ensuring patient safety during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following verification of patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient history and document in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Utilize radiographic and patient care procedures with age-appropriate methods.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff for seamless operations.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow policies for quality control.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families.
- Assist in training students and new hires.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas including fluoroscopic and diagnostic procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT required upon hire.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT required within 180 days.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA required upon hire.
