Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. This is a full-time position with daytime shifts. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and efficient diagnostic exams across various areas of general radiology. Additionally, you will ensure patient safety, communicate effectively with medical staff and peers, and maintain compliance with regulations and quality control standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following verification of patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire and document accurate patient history in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Use age-appropriate methods for procedures based on patients' physical abilities.
- Communicate effectively with various departments and individuals.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and adhere to policies in case of malfunctions.
- Follow ALARA standards to minimize radiation exposure.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families.
- Assist in training new hires and students.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas including fluoroscopy and diagnostic procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT required upon hire.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT required within 180 days.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA required upon hire.
