Staff Nurse II/III

Job Description

The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Staff Nurse II/III for the Addiction Treatment Center. As a Staff Nurse II/III, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Responsibilities include assessing patient vitals, coordinating with pharmacies, providing patient education, and documenting results. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, current RN licensure, and three years of relevant RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient vitals and withdrawal symptoms.
• Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure patients have prescribed medications.
• Provide patient education and support.
• Document and track patient toxicology results.
• Administer point-of-care testing.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or enrolled in a Bachelor's program.
• Three years of relevant RN experience.
• Experience in the field of substance use disorders preferred.
