Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is a vital role responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and internal resources. Candidates must have a strong understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, and PC troubleshooting. In addition to technical proficiency, individuals in this role must demonstrate professionalism and calmness in customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Provide timely resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
  • Maintain professionalism and conduct while performing data center duties.
  • Troubleshoot and document technical issues using the Flexential ticketing system.
  • Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist in physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the Data Center and surrounding areas.
  • Process inbound and outbound shipping/receiving for customers and Flexential deliveries.
  • Operate and manage the Badge Access Security System.
  • Assist Critical Infrastructure Manager (CIM) as needed.
  • Maintain cabling and general inventory levels.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Passion for providing excellent customer experiences.
  • Understanding of Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
  • Self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in IT support.
  • Network +, Security +, CCNA, Microsoft MCP, or MCSA certifications are desired.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Capability to work in cold environments and lift heavy objects.
  • Proficiency in pulling and installing cabling.
