Area Manager, Critical Infrastructure

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Area Manager, Critical Infrastructure to oversee the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment in our data center(s). This role plays a crucial part in ensuring mission-critical uptime of 99.999% or higher. Additionally, as a leader, you will coach and mentor a team of Critical Infrastructure Engineers and drive cross-functional market initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• 24x7 facility on-call responsibility.
• Lead and execute data center operations to achieve maximum uptime and compliance with SLAs.
• Coach and mentor the team on best practices.
• Drive cross-market efforts to enhance regional operations.
• Identify and implement improvements for operational and financial efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret technical documents.
• Drive change towards operational excellence.
• Oversee disaster recovery exercises and installations.
• Prepare reports on facility performance and customer utilization.
• Create and implement operational procedures and training materials.
• Conduct facility rounds and customer tours.
• Configure monitoring/alerting of facility equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• Experience in critical infrastructure environments.
• Applicable military or trade experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced electrical or mechanical certifications.
• 5+ years of data center experience.
• 3+ years of management experience.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting, walking, standing, and keyboard usage.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and travel occasionally.

Base Pay Range

• Annual salary range: $112,700 - $145,400 (depending on experience and qualifications).
