Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers quality care within the scope of practice outlined by the state nurse practice act. Responsibilities include monitoring patients and assisting in care as directed by healthcare professionals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Current state Practical Nurse license
- Active CPR certification
- Knowledge of state laws and regulations
- Completion of clinical competencies
Essential Functions:
- Meet individual patient health needs
- Implement nursing care within scope of practice
- Develop and implement teaching plans
- Care for wounds and administer medications
- Monitor vital signs and document actions
