Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers quality care within the scope of practice outlined by the state nurse practice act. Responsibilities include monitoring patients as directed by healthcare professionals and overseeing assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
- Active CPR certification.
- Knowledgeable about state laws governing practice.
- Completion of clinical competencies.
Essential Functions
- Systematic approach to meet patient health needs.
- Implements nursing care.
- Assists with teaching plans for patient health needs.
- Administers medications and cares for wounds.
- Monitors vital signs and documents actions.
- Performs other nursing duties as assigned.
