Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction costs on a national level, working closely with divisional real estate teams to evaluate construction bids. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction documents and possess an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your primary goal will be to ensure that construction costs align with project scopes and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Work with Construction Managers to negotiate with contractors.
• Collaborate with divisional teams to determine appropriate scopes for clarification or revised pricing.
• Provide divisions with current pricing data for consistency.
• Analyze bids and prepare reports for project awarding.
• Track pricing data and advise on improving team efficiency.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in construction documents and proposals.
• Research alternative materials and methods for economical practices.
• Approve contract pricing and provide pricing forecasts based on market fluctuations.
• Train and develop team members for a professional workforce.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to leadership.

Education and Experience

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related fields, along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.
