Substitute Residential Advisor-SPR

Job Description

We are seeking a Substitute Residential Advisor to create a safe and supportive environment for students in our residential program. The position involves supervising students, providing counseling and support, and facilitating various life skills activities. The ideal candidate will maintain dormitory operations in compliance with company policies and procedures, ensuring the well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and support to students in various activities.
• Conduct informal counseling sessions and offer guidance on responsible behavior.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student records and progress.
• Facilitate group discussions and life skills sessions.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of dormitory facilities and equipment.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience in education or a related field, valid Driver's License.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field, additional experience in education or a related field.

Knowledge: Ability to compose reports, implement program activities, direct individuals and groups verbally, intervene with students, and complete training courses successfully.

Seldom: Climbing, Lifting 50 pounds, Carrying, Kneeling, Pushing/Pulling, Running, Driving.

Equipment operation, occasional solo work, team interaction, reading and writing at a college level.
