Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the store to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays
• Deliver exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with management
• Provide feedback on inventory, scanning errors, and product issues
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures
• Follow established policies while maintaining document security and data confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Proficient in providing courteous customer service
• Ability to operate a cash register accurately
• Skilled in using equipment like hand jacks and floor scrubbers
• Capable of following company policies and procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail work experience is an advantage
