Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Mortgage Lender to join our team at Civista Bank. As a Senior Mortgage Lender, you will be responsible for originating first mortgage loans, promoting our lending services to referral partners, and addressing the financial needs of our community. Key Responsibilities

• Travel to solicit first mortgage and home equity loans through referral partners and community activities.
• Meet with customers at various locations to discuss loan options and gather necessary documentation.
• Inform clients of underwriting guidelines and regulations, ensuring compliance with bank policies.
• Research and stay updated on legislation affecting residential lending policies.
• Communicate loan approvals or denials and distribute market information to the real estate community.
• Participate in special credit programs and maintain relationships with local builders and real estate professionals.

Requirements

• Five or more years of Mortgage Lending experience in a financial institution.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• Detailed knowledge of banking practices, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with various software applications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Additional Information

• This role requires regular engagement outside the bank for sales activities.
• Work may involve eye strain, concentration in busy environments, and light lifting.
