Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Resident Monitor/Security (Part-time Weekend shifts) to join our team at Glover House, a division of Wisconsin Community Services. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and supervising adult male ex-offenders within a correctional residential setting and in the community. Your duties will include enforcing house rules, conducting surveillance checks, documenting incidents, monitoring medication usage, and ensuring the safety and security of residents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise residents in various facility areas and outside the facility.
  • Enforce all house rules and provide necessary support and guidance to residents.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accountability of residents, facility control, and safety measures.
  • Attend training sessions and staff meetings as directed.
  • Assist with new resident intake and orientation as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in corrections, security, or social services preferred.
  • Clearance of caregiver and background checks, physical exam, and drug screen required prior to hire.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to de-escalate crisis situations effectively.

Working Conditions

This position involves working in an adult correctional halfway house setting, operating 24/7 as the primary living environment for residents. The role requires physical mobility, including climbing stairs, sitting for extended periods, and being able to perform emergency procedures such as First Aid and CPR.
