R&D Engineer

Job Description

Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products is seeking an R&D Engineer to join our team in Valencia, CA. As part of this role, you will be responsible for new product development and engineering support activities, focusing on the in-laboratory development of new products and processes, technical support for existing product lines, and design of custom products and RFQs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products and processes.
• Create 3D models using SolidWorks for testing and design evaluation.
• Coordinate services and projects from third parties for cost-effective production.
• Support design transfer to manufacturing and ensure products meet intended use.
• Act as technical support for sales through customer interactions and trade shows.
• Ensure safety and regulatory requirements are met for products and processes.

Requirements

• MS degree in a scientific field, with nuclear-related fields preferred; or BS degree and 2-5 years' experience.
• Knowledge in nuclear science and ability to apply scientific theory to resolve technical issues.
• Ability to manage long-term projects independently.
• Critical thinking, analytical skills, and exceptional documentation abilities.
• Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications; SolidWorks or 3D CAD experience a plus.
