Job Description

University of Toledo Physicians is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support and assist providers within the clinic setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of the provider to deliver healthcare services, ensure the highest quality patient experience, and maintain positive relationships within the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures under the supervision of a physician or healthcare provider.
• Assist in physical exam preparations, clinical pharmacology, drug administration, and vital sign measurements.
• Communicate instructions clearly and professionally to patients.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain medical supplies, and follow infection control protocols.
• Manage logs, answer patient inquiries, and assist with specialty duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent with a Diploma from an accredited LPN Program.
• State of Ohio License Practical Nurse and CPR/BLS Certification.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, proficient in medical terminology, and basic computer literacy.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team-oriented environment, exercise sound judgment, and handle confidential information.

Working Conditions

• Professional office environment with occasional high-stress levels and exposure to various elements.
• Physical requirements include lifting, sitting, standing, walking, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
