Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

GENESYS Health Alliance is looking for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Anderson County Detention Center in Anderson, SC. As a correctional nurse, you will provide care and treatment to detainees, administer medical care, and handle acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.

Responsibilities

• Provide various patient treatments, such as blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, and nebulizer treatments under medical guidance.
• Administer medications as prescribed by medical providers and ensure proper documentation.
• Execute nursing care plans prescribed by ALP, Physician, and/or RN.
• Conduct initial and ongoing screenings of detainees and explain treatment protocols to patients.

Requirements

• Graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Current LPN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to work night shifts (7:30pm-7:00am).
• Correctional nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Capability to obtain security clearance and pass a drug screen and background check.
