Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store's success by handling merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance to provide an excellent shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, handle general cleaning duties, and neatly stock shelves
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with store management
- Offer feedback to management on products, inventory, and any issues
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Follow company policies, uphold document security, and maintain confidentiality
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Demonstrate prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficiently operate a cash register
- Safely handle equipment and perform cleaning duties to company standards
- Interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Stay organized, detail-oriented, follow instructions, and multitask efficiently
- Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail experience is a plus
- A combination of education and experience equivalent
