Job Description

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC), a regional local government entity, is seeking a highly motivated and independently responsible Accountant. The chosen candidate should be a CPA candidate with knowledge of general accounting principles. This position involves working with the general ledger, account reconciliations, developing accounting procedures, and assisting in preparing fiscal reports. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and the capacity to maintain relationships across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the general ledger, including account reconciliations.
  • Develop and modify accounting procedures, systems, and policies.
  • Analyze data to produce financial and statistical reports.
  • Assist in interpreting and following the Fiscal Control Act.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
  • Current CPA candidate with up to two years of accounting experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
