Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join the Homewood Suites Glen Allen team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the physical structure of the Richmond Innsbrook property. Your duties will include performing minor and routine maintenance activities, such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, and equipment maintenance. Additionally, you will ensure the hotel's facilities are well-kept, orderly, and in top condition for guests' comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Performing minor and routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Replacing air-conditioner filters and maintaining heating/cooling systems.
  • Keeping records of maintenance and repair work, as well as managing an inventory of supplies.
  • Inspecting and repairing guest rooms and common areas.
  • Adhering to safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or extensive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Good technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

The role may require standing for long hours, ability to lift and move objects, and good vision and hearing capabilities.
